Pau Victor’s situation at Barcelona continues to draw attention across La Liga, with Sevilla emerging as the most proactive suitor for the young forward.

Once a promising name praised for his professionalism, the 23-year-old has seen his relevance fade significantly under Hansi Flick, and his future now seems to lie far from the Camp Nou.

According to recent developments from Fichajes, Sevilla have made direct contact with Barcelona to explore the possibility of signing the young forward.

While Victor remains under contract until 2029, Barcelona are open to either a loan deal or a permanent transfer with a buy-back clause.

Not a first choice at Barcelona

Despite his strong impression on Flick, Victor has failed to establish himself in the manager’s plans.

He has played 29 games across all competitions this season but has only clocked 379 minutes, scoring two goals and providing a single assist, numbers that clearly reflect a bit-part role.

This lack of game time has not gone unnoticed, and it seems Barcelona are ready to part ways if a suitable opportunity arises.

There are plenty of suitors

Sevilla are not alone in the race. Real Betis, Valencia, Celta Vigo, Villarreal, and even Girona, who previously had him on their books, are reportedly monitoring the situation.

However, Sevilla’s urgency, coupled with their ongoing squad overhaul, puts them in a strong position to strike first.

What makes this deal particularly attractive to Sevilla is the low-risk nature of the operation. Victor, though out of favour in Barcelona, still holds promise and fits Sevilla’s current strategy of picking up undervalued talent with upside potential.

From Barcelona’s point of view, allowing him to leave, even temporarily, could ease dressing room tensions and create space for more pressing squad needs.

Given that the club already regards the forward as expendable, any deal that includes a buy-back option would be seen as smart risk management.
