Inaki Pena could be in his final months at FC Barcelona, as uncertainty continues to surround his future at the club.
The 26-year-old goalkeeper began the season as the club’s second-choice option and stepped into the starting role after Marc-Andre ter Stegen’s injury.
However, Pena has gradually faded into the background under Hansi Flick, who has put his trust in Wojciech Szczesny since January.
The La Masia graduate’s lack of involvement in recent matches has fuelled speculation that his time at the club is coming to an end, especially with only a year left on his contract.
Now, according to Fichajes, Sevilla have already made their move to try and rope in Inaki Pena from Barcelona in the summer.
The Andalusian side are looking to refresh their goalkeeping department and see the 26-year-old as a long-term investment.

The opportunity to remain in Spain and join a competitive, ambitious project could appeal to the player, who is said to be open to the idea if the conditions are right.
At 26 years of age, Pena needs regular playing time to continue his development – something that appears unlikely at Barcelona within the current structure under Flick.
The La Masia graduate has shown he has the quality to compete at a high level and thus, a move away from his boyhood club appears very much likely.
Apart from Sevilla, several other La Liga clubs, including Celta Vigo, have shown an interest in acquiring the services of the shot-stopper.
Barcelona, for their part, would not oppose a potential transfer. Offloading Pena could help reduce the wage bill and free up a valuable squad slot.
