Sevilla in pursuit of Osasuna manager Jagoba Arrasate | OneFootball

Sevilla FC have put forward their number one target to lead from the bench heading into next season after the club announced that Quique Sánchez Flores will not continue in his role.

According to Relevo, this figure is Jagoba Arrasate, who has been in charge at Osasuna since 2018.

The Andalusian club has made contact with the manager and his representatives in the last few hours, with a view to securing his signature for next season.

This is despite the manager already having been in negotiations with a handful of other clubs, such as Mallorca.

Arrasate has led Osasuna to the same points total as Sevilla this season (41), and famously guided his side all the way to the final of the Copa del Rey last season.

He also deserves credit for his achievement of bringing Osasuna up to La Liga from the second division, which shows he is able to produce success on a tight budget.

The Osasuna boss has already announced that he is leaving at the end of the season, so would provide the most straightforward option for the Sevilla board.
