La Liga outfit Sevilla were on Friday afforded some much-needed positive news on the personnel front.
This comes amid confirmation on the part of Mundo Deportivo that Saúl Ñíguez has returned to the grass, at the club’s training ground.
Midfielder Saúl has for his part been sidelined since late last month, owing to a hamstring tear suffered during a La Liga meeting with Real Valladolid.
The on-loan Atlético Madrid man has spent the five weeks since working towards a return to the pitch, with such efforts, on Friday, having taken a significant step forward.
As per a report from MD:
‘This Friday he was the star of the good news at Sevilla by training on the grass.’
Saúl is not expected to be afforded the medical green light to feature against Real Sociedad on Sunday, but looks increasingly likely to be at the disposal of boss García Pimienta in the Nervionenses’ ensuing outing against Leganés, next weekend.
