Earlier today, reports emerged claiming that Sevilla are very keen on signing Ansu Fati from Barcelona and are growing confident of closing the deal.
The Andalusian outfit have been tailing the 21-year-old forward, who is returning to Barça after a failed loan stint at Brighton & Hove Albion in England.
Sevilla, who will now be managed by ex-Barcelona B coach Garcia Pimienta, were said to be intent on signing Ansu and that they were ready to offer him a leading role in the project.
However, now, according to The Athletic, Sevilla have denied any interest in signing Ansu Fati despite the reports doing the rounds in the Catalan media.
The 21-year-old is not said to be on the agenda of Los Nervionenses despite earlier reports suggesting that they were growing increasingly confident of landing the 21-year-old La Masia graduate.

With Sevilla reportedly not keen, Ansu continues to stare at an uncertain future at Barcelona. The injury-prone forward will have a shot at proving himself in the pre-season and it is not ruled out that he will stay at the club.
In fact, some reports have even suggested that Fati could reclaim the No. 10 shirt he wore at Barcelona prior to his loan departure.
Contrarily, though, he could be included in a player exchange package with another club, and if an attractive offer were to arrive, Barcelona would be open to selling him.
Much will now depend on how Fati fares in the pre-season as well as the kind of offers that arrive for him.
