Sevilla deny bids for Man City, Liverpool target Diego Carlos

Sevilla have denied receiving offers for center back Diego Carlos.

The highly rated Brazilian was impressive as the Spanish club won the UEFA Europa League last season.

The 27-year-old is subject to interest from Manchester City, Liverpool and other European clubs.

However Sevilla director of football Monchi says no offer has arrived.

"All I know about any offer is what I have read in the papers," he said at a press conference that confirmed the signing of Ivan Rakitic from Barcelona.

"No club has called about Diego Carlos and if everything proceeds normally he will be back to train with his team-mates and thinking about the UEFA Super Cup."
