Sevilla have announced Diego Alonso as their new head coach following José Luis Mendilibar’s sacking.
The Uruguayan becomes the third managerial appointment at the Estadio Ramón Sánchez Pizjuán in the space of 12 months.
Alonso takes charge of Los Nervionenses for the remainder of the current LaLiga campaign after Mendilibar’s departure on Sunday.
Previously, the 48-year-old has enjoyed multiple spells in coaching since retiring as a player in 2011, including his homeland and Inter Miami.
Sevilla currently sit 14th in LaLiga with eight points from as many games and take on Real Madrid in their next fixture after the international break.
