In a recent report, Mundo Deportivo stated that Sevilla are open to selling former West Ham United target Youssef En-Nesyri. It is believed that the Andalusian club could be willing to cash in on the Moroccan forward with the Hammers’ boss David Moyes a bid admirer of his talents.

En-Nesyri’s Lackluster Form In Spanish Football This Season

En-Nesyri has endured a difficult campaign at Sevilla as he has struggled to be consistent with his contributions in front of the opposition’s goal. The 25-year-old has scored just two goals in 15 matches for his current employers this season across various competitions.

The Morocco international has made most of his appearances off the bench which could be why he is only averaging 1.6 shots, 0.1 key passes and 0.1 dribbles per 90 minutes in La Liga. He has also been untidy with his ball distribution as evidenced by his pass success rate of 56.6% in the Spanish top flight (stats via whoscored).

En-Nesyri’s current contract at Sevilla is set to run out in the summer of 2025. However, with Sevilla open to allowing him to leave, West Ham might have a good chance of recruiting him on the cheap next year.

Should West Ham United Boss David Moyes Go Back In For En-Nesyri?

En-Nesyri has got decent pace under his belt and can make some clever runs with the ball in the final third. He excels at creating space for himself to get a few strikes in on-target and can be a good finisher up top when he is playing with confidence on the pitch.

The Morocco international can get himself into some dangerous areas inside the opposition penalty area and packs a lot of venom with his strikes at goal. He is primarily a centre-forward but can also fill in as a winger on either flank if told to do so. However, the talented forward has to find a way to be more consistent with his productivity in the opponent’s half.

A striker of En-Nesyri’s skillset will add more firepower to David Moyes‘ frontline at the London Stadium. He could even help the Hammers compete for a European spot in the Premier League over the next few seasons. Thus, it makes sense for the East London giants to go back in for En-Nesyri this winter or at the end of this campaign. Furthermore, he would also provide some healthy competition for Gianluca Scamacca and Michail Antonio at the London Stadium in the future.
