This setup appears to be a strategic move to accommodate the staggered return of players to pre-season training, including key figures like Alisson, Trent Alexander-Arnold, and Virgil van Dijk, among others.

Several players, including Andy Robertson, Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch, have yet to appear under the new management.
