The trailer for the much-awaited documentary ‘Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In’ is finally out and Manchester United fans cannot contain their excitement.
It explores the life of the legendary football manager and provides an intimate look into not just his decades-long career but also his personal life. Recorded while recovering from a brain haemorrhage, Alex Ferguson talks about his most treasured memories.
This includes his upbringing in Govan, meeting his wife Cathy, his playing days at Rangers and the incredible success he had at both Aberdeen and Manchester United.
In the trailer, the likes of Eric Cantona and Gordon Strachan provide insight about possibly the greatest manager of all time.
The documentary was filmed when the 79-year-old was recovering from the surgery and has been directed by his son Jason. He was aware that his memory may be affected and took measures to recount the most important stories of his life, both on and off the field. (h/t The Guardian)
Ferguson won 38 trophies at United. This includes two Champions League titles, 13 Premier League titles and five FA Cups. A tally that may never be equalled.
It will release in the United Kingdom on May 27 and will be available internationally and for rent from May 31.
