FC Barcelona are one of the most historic clubs in the world of football but recent seasons have seen them struggle with financial issues. Transfer window after transfer window, registering players for La Liga is becoming a huge issue for the club.

Back in the summer, the Catalan club brought in Dani Olmo from RB Leipzig but faced issues with his registration. It was only after a long-term injury to Andreas Christensen that allowed the club to register the 26-year-old midfielder temporarily.

Barcelona had to find a way to register the Spanish attacking midfielder before January 1, 2025, along with Pau Victor, another summer signing and with just a few hours to go until the deadline, the club has still not managed to pull it off.

Should Barcelona fail to register Dani Olmo, it is being reported that he would be free to leave the club. Now, as per Mundo Deportivo, several European clubs are attentive to the situation of the 26-year-old Barcelona midfield star.

Olmo has a contract with Barcelona until 2030 and as the report mentions, the player is not listening to any of the outside noise and is willing to trust that the club will find a way to register him going forward like they always do.

The ex-RB Leipzig midfielder has had a middling first six months upon his return to the club. He started very well, adding a lot of quality to Hansi Flick’s team but much like the group, his performances have dipped in recent weeks.

Until now, whenever Barcelona have been backed into the wall this way, they have always found a way to register players. Thus, there is no reason for anyone to start doubting the club now, and let’s wait and see how it plays out. Hopefully, the club will have good news by the time the clock strikes midnight.
