RB Leipzig and Slovenian international star Benjamin Šeško opened the scoring in Saxony against visiting Bayern Munich with an absolute stunner on a day when Vincent Kompany's men were hoping to wrap up the 2024/25 Bundesliga season.
The 21-year-old standout, who remains one of the bigger transfer focal points coming into another summer, proved why some of Europe's big fish are after him with a sensational opening strike in the 11th minute as RB Leipzig are proving too much for their Bavarian counterparts on the day, leading 2-0 before the half.
After being put into space by a threaded ball from Xavi Simons, Šeško hit a rasping-chipped effort with the outside of his foot after spotting Jonas Urbig off his line.
It is that type of quality that has shone through at Red Bull Arena, and that strike pulls the young hitman level with Jude Bellingham (27) for the highest-scoring U21 player across Europe's top five leagues since the start of last season.
Is the upcoming summer when he finally makes the jump to a bigger side?
