Serie A giants Inter, Juventus and Roma are currently under the lens of UEFA for Financial Fair Play regulations.
The Times have reported about this, claiming that UEFA are currently looking to announce sanctions in the next month or so for ten clubs that could have potentially breached FFP rules during the 2020/21 campaign.
The clubs – apart from the three Italian sides, include Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona and Arsenal. Roma and Inter have already been alerted by UEFA recently, with the Giallorossi and the Nerazzurri already in discussions to potentially reduce the sanctions. The sanctions would likely include a transfer restriction and a potential fine.
UEFA’s FFP rules suggest that a team can only have €30 million in losses in three seasons but women’s football and academy football is not taken into consideration in these calculations.
