Roma give Angelino his debut in the starting XI with Paulo Dybala, Romelu Lukaku and Stephan El Shaarawy upfront against Yerry Mina’s Cagliari.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 19.45 GMT.

The Giallorossi won both games since Daniele De Rossi replaced sacked Jose Mourinho, but they were slender 2-1 wins with tense final stages, so considering Cagliari are famous for their last-gasp turnarounds, that could be an issue.

While Andrea Belotti, Ola Solbakken and Marash Kumbulla left in January, they signed Tommaso Baldanzi from Empoli and former Galatasaray left-back Angelino.

The Spaniard is thrown straight into the starting XI for his debut, with Leandro Paredes returning from suspension in midfield.

Leonardo Spinazzola, Chris Smalling and Tammy Abraham are still injured, with Evan Ndicka and Sardar Azmoun on international duty.

Once again, De Rossi sets Roma out in a 4-3-3 formation, after years of Mourinho’s 3-5-2.

Cagliari have been very active on the transfer market too, bringing in Yerry Mina from Fiorentina.

Ibrahim Sulemana, Gaetano Oristanio, Marko Rog, Marco Mancosu and Roma-owned Eldor Shomurodov are on the treatment table.

There is a boost with the return of Zito Luvumbo from the Africa Cup of Nations.

It is always a special game for coach Claudio Ranieri, a lifelong Roma supporter and former coach of De Rossi.
