Inter Milan to move for Christian Eriksen after Champions League progress

Inter Milan could move for Christian Eriksen in January depending on how their Champions League campaign goes, according to Il Corriere dello Sport (h/t Calciomercato).

The Dane is a free agent in the summer and can negotiate with foreign clubs from January. Eriksen has struggled for consistency this season at Tottenham and hasn’t been used much by new boss Jose Mourinho.

The report claims that Eriksen will not renew his deal with Spurs and Inter want to take advantage of the situation.

However, they do not have the funds to make a move in January. Inter need to qualify for the knockout rounds of the Champions League before moving for the Dane (h/t Calciomercato).

Inter face Barcelona in their final group game and know they will qualify if they match Borussia Dortmund’s result against Slavia Prague.

Barca have already qualified for the next round, and they could field a weaker side against the Italians.

A good deal for Spurs?

Antonio Conte spent big at the start of this season to land Romelu Lukaku, and the Belgian has been excellent for them.

Selling Eriksen in January would be a good move for us. However, the Dane can also stay put and decide on his future in the summer.
