Serie A giants Juventus could revive their interest in signing Arsenal defender Jakub Kiwior after West Ham United’s late move for Jean-Clair Todibo.

Todibo has been tipped to leave Nice for the past few months. He has been holding out for a move to the Bianconeri, but West Ham are now close to securing his signature.

The Hammers proposed to sign him on loan with an obligation to buy for £34 million last night and they are confident of receiving the green light from the defender.

If Todibo were to join them, the Bianconeri will have to look at alternative options. In our view, the club could revive their interest in Kiwior due to manager Thiago Motta.

The 24-year-old was previously signed by Motta for Serie A club Spezia in 2021. The duo spent a solitary season together before Motta took over as Bologna’s manager.

It has been reported that the former Italian star is eyeing a reunion with Kiwior. He made a specific request earlier this summer and a transfer could now materialise.

Kiwior, who has ‘really great potential’, according to Robert Lewandowski, recently turned down a transfer to Bologna as he preferred to join a bigger club in Italian football.

The Poland international has been a regular bench player for the Gunners. He was only a substitute in the recent 4-1 friendly win over Bayer Leverkusen at the Emirates Stadium.

Kiwior’s chances of securing a starting berth at left-back are unlikely to improve following the arrival of Riccardo Calafiori, who is expected to become an undisputed starter.

In our view, Arsenal may look to recoup the £17 million spent if Kiwior wishes to leave the club.
