In a recent report, Tuttosport has revealed that Juventus forward Paulo Dybala faces an uncertain future at Turin amid interest from Chelsea. It is believed that the Argentine marksman is desperate to earn more game time and is currently unhappy with his situation at the Allianz Stadium which could open the door for Frank Lampard’s side to seal a move for him. The 26-year-old has informed Juve’s chief football officer Fabio Paratici about his displeasure after making only one appearance under the stewardship of Andrea Pirlo thus far (via Tuttosport).

Dybala’s Fall From Grace In Italian Football

Earlier this month, Tuttomercatoweb reported that the Blues were keeping tabs on Dybala’s situation ahead of a potential move to acquire his services in the future. The Juve attacker finally got his first taste of competitive football as a substitute in the 2-0 win over Dynamo Kyiv in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday night. He came on as a second-half substitute which highlights how far he has fallen in Pirlo’s pecking order.

With less than two years remaining on his current contract at Turin, maybe Pirlo could choose to cash in on him in January or next summer which will be a boost for Chelsea’s hopes to recruit him. Dybala has enjoyed a long and illustrious career in the Serie A as he made a total of 222 league appearances for the Italian giants, registering 84 goals and 42 assists on all fronts.

Last season, the 29-time Argentine international gave a good account of himself by averaging 3.0 shots, 2.1 key passes and 2.0 dribbles per game in the Italian top-flight. He also distributed the ball immaculately in the opposition half as evident from his pass completion rate of 88.1% in league football (stats via whoscored).

What Are The Argentine Sensation’s Best Attributes?

Dybala has made a habit of generating space for himself to get a few shots in on-target. He has also got the pace and dribbling ability to cause all sorts of problems for his marker and is usually quite inventive with his passes in the final third.

The South American speedster can be a useful contributor as he can score and assist his fair share of goals as a centre-forward. However, the lack of first-team chances has hampered his progress this season which could mean that Juve might look to cut him loose when the transfer window reopens in January.

Should The Blues Make A Move For Dybala In The Future?

Lampard has currently got a plethora of attacking options in his squad with Timo Werner, Tammy Abraham and Olivier Giroud fighting for a first-team spot at Stamford Bridge. Hence, the Blues have no immediate need to go for a new striker this winter.

However, Giroud is playing in the twilight years of his career, so someone like Dybala could be an ideal replacement for the Frenchman at the West London club. Dybala will add a lot of goals and creativity to Lampard’s attack and could potentially form a devastating attacking partnership with Werner if he makes a switch to the English capital. All in all, it seems like Chelsea would be wise to orchestrate a move for Dybala in the future, especially if they have the funds available to pull off such a deal.
