Alex Valle has enjoyed a fruitful season away on loan from FC Barcelona thus far. The 20-year-old left-back spent the first half of the season in Scotland, making a big impression at Celtic.

Come January, the La Masia graduate made the switch to Como in Italy, where he has become an important player under Cesc Fabregas.

Como want to sign Alex Valle permanently

So much so that Como are now planning to sign Alex Valle permanently from Barcelona by activating his €6 million release clause reports Fabrizio Romano.

Since joining the Italians midway through the season, the youngster, who will turn 21 years old later this month, has made 11 appearances in Serie A.

As per the report, Valle has made enough of an impression on Fabregas who now sees the Barcelona youngster as a key part of the club’s future plans.

As such, the intention on the Italian side’s part is to offer Valle a long-term contract and sign him permanently from Barcelona by triggering the €6 million release clause in his contract which will become active in June.

There had been talk of the Catalan giants bringing him into the first-team squad for next season after being impressed by his performances.

At the same time, Borussia Dortmund in Germany had also shown interest in the young left-back from La Masia.

But, as things stand, it appears that Valle might continue at Como beyond this season, with the Italians determined to sign him permanently by activating the release clause.
