Serhou Guirassy has a €70m release clause in his Borussia Dortmund contract | OneFootball

Bild reports that Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy has a release clause in his contract that is worth up to €70 million.

There is no doubt that Guirassy is Dortmund’s best player in a difficult season. In the Bundesliga, he has 12 goals as die Schwarzgelben languish in mid-table, while as shown last night in the Champions League, he nearly hauled Dortmund to a memorable win against Barcelona as he took his tally to 13 goals in Europe this season.

Guirassy has a release clause in his contract that is worth €70m and applies to a number of clubs. The reason for the release clause is that he can potentially achieve his dream of playing in the Premier League one day. Chelsea is one of the teams to which the clause would apply.

The 29-year-old only joined Dortmund in the summer from VfB Stuttgart for €18m. In the summer, Chelsea, Arsenal and even Bayern Munich showed an interest in Guirassy, but he opted to move to the Signal Iduna Park.
