Real Madrid got their first win of the new LaLiga season on Saturday as they came from behind to beat Real Betis 3-2.

Scorers: Mandi 35′, Carvalho 37′;Valverde 15′, Emerson (OG) 48′, Ramos (PEN) 82′

Karim Benzema though he had given Los Blancos the lead after only five minutes but saw his goal ruled out for offisde.

It wasn’t long though before the visitors were ahead, as Fede Valverde opened his account for the season.

The home side slowly got back into the game however as Mandi ghosted in at the back post and headed in from a Sergio Canales cross.

And Betis quickly completed their turnaround as Carvalho fired in past Courtois to make it 2-1.

Zinedine Zidane’s side looked a mess but after the break they came out and looked much more like the defending champions and forced an equaliser on 48 minutes.

An Emerson own goal was eventually given after there were some calls for offside

A bad night for Emerson got even worse as he was sent off and then Sergio Ramos chipped in a penalty to give his side an invaluable win.
