Free agent Sergio Ramos is hoping to get a move back to La Liga following his departure from Paris Saint-Germain this summer, according to Estadio Deportivo.
The 37-year-old left the Parc des Princes after a two-year spell in France during which he won two Ligue 1 titles.
Injuries blighted his first campaign and restricted him to only 12 league appearances.
However, he shook off the niggling injuries and made 33 appearances this season, bagging two goals and one assist.
The former Real Madrid star helped his side keep seven clean sheets, winning 54% of his duels.
Ramos still has a lot to offer despite PSG moving him on. He is now being linked with a move to his boyhood club, Sevilla.
The former Spain international spent his formative years in Sevilla’s academy.
Ramos was born in Camas, Sevilla, and came through the ranks before making his senior team debut in 2003.
He played for the senior team for two years before moving to Madrid, where he established his legacy as one of the greatest defenders ever, winning 22 titles.
However, the Andalusians already have four central defenders on their books – Marcao, Loic Bade, Tanguy Nianzou and Karim Rekik.
After Bade’s successful loan spell, they will likely make his loan move permanent this summer.
However, Ramos is hoping for a return to Sevilla and has spoken to former teammate and close friend Jesus Navas about a return.
He will likely have offers from the Saudi Pro League and other places outside Europe but has his heart on a return ‘home’.
