Sergio Aguero could get his first Barcelona start this evening having missed the early weeks of the season with injury.

The Argentine has managed to make three appearances since his return from injury, but he is now ready to start and expected to do so against Rayo Vallecano this evening.

Aguero found the net last time out, scoring a consolation goal against Real Madrid in El Clásico.

Villarreal take a point

Villarreal fought back from a two-goal deficit to take a point against Cadiz on Tuesday night.

The Yellow Submarine were on their way to a third straight league defeat, late goals from Boulaye Dia and Arnaut Danjuma, the second of which came in the 95th minute, saw them take a point.

The results elsewhere

Elsewhere on Tuesday night, Alaves claimed a big three points to make it back-to-back wins, beating Elche thanks to goals from Mamadou Loum.

Later on, Athletic Club and Espanyol played out a 1-1 draw with Raul de Tomas and Inaki Williams getting the goals.

De Tomas was sent off during stoppage time.
