Bad news for Bayern Munich as Thomas Tuchel has confirmed that Serge Gnabry has broken his forearm.
The Germany international was an early substitution during his side’s DFB-Pokal triumph over Preußen Münster on Tuesday.
Gnabry is now expected to be sidelined for several week with the problem sustained in an 11th-minute challenge.
“Serge will have surgery tomorrow and will be out for several weeks,” confirmed Tuchel.
“It’s a huge blow for him personally, but also for us. He is an important player and a great character.”
Next up for Bayern is a showdown with last season’s Bundesliga title rivals RB Leipzig on Saturday.
