Stuttgart did well to minimalise Bayern’s threat throughout the opening minutes shutting down Robert Lewandowski and Benjamin Pavard.

To add to the initial frustration, manager Julian Nagelsmann was forced to make an early substitution after Kingsley Coman appeared to pick up a thigh injury.

But luck would then turn around for the visitors after Serge Gnabry (the most active player for Bayern) found his scoring touch by curling a strike into the top corner for 1-0.

Coming out after the break, Stuttgart ramped up the pressure and could have easily made things level again given how many chances they had.

Yet the likes of Omar Marmoush, Wataru Endo and Tanguy Coulibaly all fell short. The misses would come back to haunt the hosts as Bayern quickly erased any hopes of a comeback.

Following another break on the counter, Gnabry made things 2-0 before eventually securing a hat-trick and assisted Lewandowski twice to see things end 5-0.

The result means Bayern go 11 points clear at the top of the table while 15th-place Stuttgart hovers above relegation.
