Čanković currently plays her football with Swedish Damallsvenskan club FC Rosengård. She is thought to be under contract with the club until summer 2025 but has a buy-out clause.
According to Swedish media outlet Aftonbladet, it has been suggested that English heavyweights Arsenal and Chelsea have both met the buy-out value in Čanković’s contract and her current club FC Rosengård could face a battle to retain her services. The Swedish club have struggled to retain other top talents in the past with the likes of Nathalie Björn, Hanna Bennison and Anna Anvegård having moved to England last summer with FC Rosengård powerless to hang onto them.
Serbian midfielder Čanković has been with FC Rosengård since 2019. The player has made 62 Damallsvenskan appearances for the club in which she had netted 19 goals.
In her 11-year senior career, Čanković has won no less than eight league titles along with four domestic cups. She has lifted trophies in her native Serbia, Spain, Hungary and Sweden. Čanković’s personal trophy collection leaves her with an impressive CV that will surely appeal to the two English clubs that have been linked with her.
Čanković is yet to be linked with Arsenal and Chelsea through the English media, however, it would be no surprise to see the midfielder playing in the Barclays Women’s Super League next season.
