Manchester United are planning to revamp their entire goalkeeping department this summer, according to recent reports.
In both Premier League games thus far, Ruben Amorim has opted to hand Altay Bayindir starts, thereby putting Andre Onana’s future in doubt.
As relayed by The Peoples Person, intermediaries are in talks with West Ham United over a possible loan exit.
Senne Lammens of Royal Antwerp is seen as his replacement, with face-to-face talks between both clubs already taking place.
There was a gap in valuation, but that is unlikely to pose a problem. Galatasaray’s interest, however, might.
The Belgian shot-stopper had already rejected the Turkish giants’ initial overtures, but that has not stopped them from pursuing him further.
As per both Gazet van Antwerpen and Het Laatste Nieuws (via Sport Witness), Gala have upped their initial offer. In fact, they are even prepared to offer a more lucrative financial package to the 23-year-old to change his mind.
However, as things stand, Senne Lammens still favours a move to Old Trafford.
“Lammens apparently has no problem with that. Buoyed by his self-confidence. His preference is for Manchester United, because they remain a world-class club.”
In fact, the Istanbul club had met him for talks in Austria during pre-season, but clearly, the interest was not mutual.
The “phenomenal” shot-stopper’s attitude and willingness to move to Manchester will no doubt please INEOS officials.
Once Lammens does arrive, Onana is expected to leave, while even Bayindir’s future is not clear.
There were talks that the Turkiye international might stay put until January, but the club are eyeing Dominik Livakovic of Fenerbahce. That might indicate both goalkeepers’ time at Old Trafford could soon be coming to an end.
