After a turbulent vote, Abdoulaye Fall has succeeded Augustin Senghor at the helm of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF).
After 15 years at the head of the Senegalese Football Federation (FSF), Augustin Senghor is stepping down. Abdoulaye Fall will now take over. Indeed, despite a dramatic day marked by disagreements over the electoral process and several suspensions of proceedings, the vote eventually took place late Saturday night.
Out of a total of 509 ballots counted, 461 delegates cast their votes. Here are the results of the first round:
* Abdoulaye Fall: 301 votes* Mady Touré: 116 votes* Augustin Senghor: 92 votes* Oumar Ndiaye: 1 vote* Aliou Goloko: 0 votes
As no candidate secured the required two-thirds majority (334 votes), a second round was held between Abdoulaye Fall and Mady Touré. Abdoulaye Fall emerged victorious with 322 votes to Mady Touré's 30, officially becoming the new president of the FSF.
