Sebastián Córdova is set to give a timely boost to América ahead of their Guard1anes 2021 quarter-final against Pachuca on Sunday.
The Azulcrema trail 3-1 from the first leg at the Estadio Hidalgo on Thursday.
Córdova travelled with the squad for that game, but he wasn’t risked as manager Santiago Solari hedged his bets ahead of the return fixture at the Estadio Azteca.
And reports in Mexico insist the attacker is ready to try and help rescue his side’s Liguilla efforts.
The 23-year-old has missed the last six games for Las Águilas after sustaining an injury in a Concacaf Champions League clash against Olimpia of Honduras in mid-April.
The availability of Córdova would be all the more important given the enforced absence of midfielder Pedro Aquino through suspension following his dismissal in midweek.
The Mexico international contributed two goals and one assist during his injury-hampered regular Clausura season.
