Season kicks off at home to Bayern | OneFootball

Eintracht start their campaign on Friday 5 August at 20:30 CEST with a showdown between the Europa League winners and the Bundesliga champions.

The German Football League (DFL) has published the fixture list for the 2022/23 Bundesliga season, with an absolute firecracker of an opening game. Tradition has it that the reigning league champions get to kick the season off, and this year the match will be at Deutsche Bank Park, with Europa League winners Eintracht Frankfurt hosting Bayern Munich on Friday 5 August at 20:30 CEST.

Another mouth-watering encounter has been pencilled in for the second weekend in November, when the Eagles play host to VfL Wolfsburg and both Oliver Glasner and new Wolves head coach Niko Kovac will get to face their former clubs. With the World Cup being held in Qatar from 21 November to 18 December, the calendar year for the Bundesliga will end midway through November with Matchday 15. And as was the case in 2021, it will see Eintracht taking on 1 FSV Mainz 05, this time atthe MEWA Arena.

Matchday 16 will get the season back under way between 20–22 January 2023, with the Eagles hosting Schalke 04. The last match of the campaign is set to be played on Saturday 27 May 2023 at 15:30 CEST, when Eintracht host SC Freiburg at Deutsche Bank Park on Matchday 34.
