Burnley manager Sean Dyche has named Jurgen Klopp as the Premier League boss he would like to go out for a drink with.

Dyche has said that Klopp could be an ‘interesting’ man to enjoy a night out with as he think that the German would like a pint.

Speaking on the Super Six Podcast, Dyche responded to a question about who he would go for a drink with. I’ll take out the ones I know, because I know some personally. I think Klopp might be quite interesting. I don’t know why, I just imagine he looks like he likes a pint or a version of it.

“I am quite partial to half a lager-shandy myself let’s say, on the right occasion. I think a lot of the European managers may just have a couple of glasses of wine and a chat – I think Klopp, we could probably lock horns and have a bit of a go.”

ANFIELD WATCH VERDICT

This is interesting from Dyche as the pair were engaged in a heated row earlier this season. Dyche and Klopp were caught arguing in the tunnel at half-time of a game between Burnley and Liverpool at Anfield back in January. They were shouting at each other for one reason to another, before Burnley went on to win the game 1-0 and continue Liverpool’s run of losses at home.

The Burnley boss has clearly not held any grudges from that moment and is now eager to experience a night out with Liverpool’s head coach. Dyche and Klopp may argue on matchday but it would be intriguing to see how they interact off the field on a regular day/night. However, it is unlikely that we will ever be able to see this situation come to fruition, given how tough the schedule is for a Premier League manager.

Klopp is currently focused on securing Champions League football for Liverpool as they attempt to break into the top four in the final few matches of the campaign. His mind could then be set on bringing in summer recruits to bolster Liverpool’s squad ahead of next season, with Liverpool potentially looking to return to the title race to win their crown back from Manchester City.
