Liverpool were crowned Premier League champions last weekend, but could soon suffer a huge loss as Trent Alexander-Arnold is set to become a free agent at the end of the season.
The England international right-back is expected to leave his childhood club for Real Madrid in the summer transfer window, and the Reds need to bring in a quality replacement despite having Conor Bradley available to fill his shoes.
Liverpool manager Arne Slot has the tricky task of getting the perfect man for the right side of his defence to give Bradley much-needed cover and competition as Alexander-Arnold closes in on an exit.
Here are three right-backs the Dutchman should be running the rule over with his scouting team and analysts.
The Nottingham Forest star could be available on a free transfer when the summer window opens, but there is a suggestion the City Ground club could trigger a 12-month extension in his contract.
The 28-year-old is just entering his peak years, and a move to Liverpool could appeal to him. He could be a perfect replacement for Alexander-Arnold, given his Premier League experience and quality.
Aina is an excellent attacking threat despite his primary position, and he can also play at left-back and centre-back.
He is one of the reasons Forest are pushing for a Champions League spot this term, contributing to one of the two Premier League defeats Liverpool have suffered this season. He has what it takes to feature for the Reds.
The Netherlands international has been regularly linked with the Anfield club since it first emerged that Alexander-Arnold could potentially leave, and it appears Slot would love to sign his compatriot.
Frimpong has bagged four goals and 12 assists this term. Liverpool could do with such a productive right-back within their ranks.
The versatile 24-year-old can also play on the right wing and behind the striker due to his attacking qualities.
His exceptional abilities at both ends of the pitch would be handy for the Reds as they look to defend the title next term and mount a stronger challenge in the Champions League.
The Celta Vigo defender has been one of the best right-backs in the Spanish top-flight this season, with three goals and six assists in 29 La Liga appearances. He has everything it takes to play for Liverpool.
Mingueza can also play left-back and in central midfield due to his ability on the ball, and his physicality and technicality would allow him to excel in the Premier League.
With just a year left on his current deal, the former Barcelona star would be a cheap option for the Reds.
Such an excellent passer who is a threat in direct free-kick situations could be suitable for Liverpool.
