Celtic are considering a move to sign Manchester United’s Scott McTominay on loan in January.
According to the Scotsman, the Hoops will make a move for the 21-year-old if José Mourinho allows the midfielder to go out on loan.
Mourinho’s admiration for McTominay is very well-known, which may make it difficult for him to temporarily part ways with the Scotland international.
McTominay had been linked to a summer move to Celtic, though he opted to stay at Old Trafford and fight for his place on the first-team.
McTominay would almost certainly be provided the first-team minutes his country is asking of him at Celtic.
So far this season, McTominay has made just four appearances for United.
He has started for the Red Devils in their last two Premier League matches, however, he was substituted at half-time during United’s 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Newcastle.
McTominay signed a new deal with United last season that will keep him at Old Trafford until 2021.
