Joe Hart has added a solidarity into the Celtic net that quite frankly has not been seen since Fraser Forster donned the famous gloves of the Celtic No.1 jersey.

Vasilias Barkas has been well and truly awful since he joined, Scott Bain has looked solid – at times – and Conor Hazard still shows an inexperience to his game thus far.

The arrival of Ange Postecoglou highlighted the need for a calming presence in goal given the shaky defence the Australian inherited upon his arrival in Glasgow.

And Joe Hart has been the man to solve that, conceding just 13 goals in 22 league games as Celtic continue to press Rangers in their bid to win the Scottish Premier League.

Bain knows this; he may not be the number one choice anymore, but he acknowledges the effect Hart has had on his talents.

“Joe’s been, obviously, an excellent addition to the team,”  Bain said to Celtic’s YouTube channel. “A lot of wealth of experience we can take from him, an all-round good guy that wants to help and wants the club to succeed. He’s been phenomenal for the squad. He’s definitely still got hunger for the game, you can see that. “He wants to help the squad and be a part of something that’s building here. The fans can see it, all the players can see it. Coming from somewhere as big as he has, he’s a very humble guy. “And it’s good to see he’s still got that hunger and desire to want to achieve something and win games.”

Hart has already won a league cup in his short spell in Glasgow, and can win as many as four competitions in his first season if all goes to plan. Here is hoping he adds the quadruple to his long list of trophies.
