Head coach, Pedro Martinez Losa told scottishfa.co.uk: “The matches this summer are a great opportunity to build on the momentum we’ve been gathering since the Pinatar Cup.

“Despite being in a period of transition, you can see the identity of the team that we want to be which started to form in the last two matches against Australia and Costa Rica.

“We are giving opportunities to young players that can come in and show what they’re capable of which is really exciting.

“There was a fantastic energy in the last camp that we want to build on and these matches against Northern Ireland and Finland give us the chance to keep moving forward as we prepare to compete in the UEFA Women’s Nations League later this year.”

Scotland will open their inaugural UEFA Women’s Nations League campaign away to England on 22 September, followed by Belgium (26 September, H), Netherlands (27 October, A), Netherlands (31 October, H), Belgium (1 December, H), England (5 December, H).

The opening game for Northern Ireland in the Nations League will be away to the Republic at the Tallaght Stadium in on 22 September, concluding with a home game against the Republic on 5 December. Their first home fixture will be against Albania on 26 September, followed with back-to-back games against Hungary away on 27 October, home four days later, then away to Albania on 1 December.
