Inter wingback Robin Gosens has drawn interest from German club Schalke 04, as the Nerazzurri look to offload him and bring in a replacement.

As reported in yesterday’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, the former Heracles player is no longer in coach Simone Inzaghi’s plans due to the excellent form of Federico Dimarco, and Inter are hoping to cash in on him to raise funds.

Gosens, meanwhile, has been frustrated with his lack of playing time and is keen to relaunch his career back in his homeland, with the Germany international missing out on a World Cup call-up.

The 28-year-old is waiting for the right offer to come from the Bundesliga, and Schalke have been the first team to come forward with serious interest in him.

Gosens joined Inter on an initial loan from Atalanta in January, before making the switch permanently in the summer, but has failed to establish himself at the Stadio Giuseppe Meazza.
