Chaos continues to reign at Schalke as there has been yet another managerial change at the Bundesliga crisis club.

Christian Gross has been removed from his position following the 5-1 defeat to VfB Stuttgart on Saturday afternoon.

This means the league’s bottom club will be looking for their fifth different managerial appointment of the season after the failed reigns of David Wagner and Manuel Baum, while also spending time under interim head coach Huub Stevens.

Gross isn’t the casualty from the embarrassing defeat to Pellegrino Matarazzo’s side, with sporting director Jochen Schneider also leaving the club.

Team coordinator Sascha Riether has also been relieved of his duties.

The defeat on Saturday, Schalke’s 16th of the season, means they sit rock bottom on nine points needing a miracle to avoid relegation to the 2.Bundesliga for the first time since 1990.
