Disruption from ultras in the match between Saint-Étienne and Angers have created quite the scenes in France.
As the match got underway at Stade Geoffroy-Guichard, ultras from the host team threw multiple flares on the pitch forcing play to stop before it even really began. A net was also broken in the process.
Saint-Étienne currently sit bottom of the table in Ligue 1 with only four points after 10 games. They are yet to record a win.
Prior to the match, fans were very vocal about their feelings towards Saint-Étienne manager Claude Puel.
One banner, in particular, urged the 60-year-old to resign within 24 hours.
Players from both teams left the pitch for officials to decide how to approach the situation.
The match eventually restarted roughly an hour after the incidents.
