Italian forward Lorenzo Insigne has officially been unveiled as a Toronto FC player on Friday.
The former-Napoli captain signed a pre-contract agreement to join the Canadian MLS team back in January, with his deal beginning on 1 July and set to run for four years.
Having made 416 appearances across all competition for Napoli – scoring 114 goals and providing 91 assists – Insigne arrives in the MLS as one of the highest-profile transfers in the league’s history.
Additionally, new reports on Friday claim TFC are expected to sign another Italian international to their squad in full-back Domenico Criscito.
The departing Genoa captain, who also played for Juventus and Zenit St. Petersburg, has 283 Serie A appearances to his name, 30 goals, 13 assists as well as 26 international caps.
