Freiburg got back to winning ways last time out against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Julian Schuster's men secured a 2-1 win thanks to a 90th-minute winner from Johan Manzambi. The hosts are in sixth place, three points away from RB Leipzig in fourth.
In their last four Bundesliga outings, Freiburg have conceded nine goals, many thanks to a heavy 4-1 defeat against Borussia Dortmund; however, this tally in their last four is as many as they had conceded in their previous eight prior matches.
A mini-blip involving losses against Union Berlin and the aforementioned Dortmund on home soil has seen the club take two home defeats in a row, while the previous home fixture against RB Leipzig ended in a scoreless draw.
However, there are positives for Schuster, with his side emerging as winners in seven of their previous nine before the blip. They will consider themselves as strong favourites as they welcome Hoffenheim to Europa-Park Stadion this weekend.

Junior Adamu is absent this weekend due to suspension, while fellow attacker Eren Dincki is injured.
Florian Müller will start between the sticks for Freiburg with the absence of goalkeeper Noah Atubolu.
Strugglers Hoffenheim secured a fantastic and much-needed 2-0 win against high-flying Mainz last time out, and aim to carry their form into this weekend as they make the relatively short trip from Sinsheim to Freiburg.
Christian Ilzer's men were able to keep a clean sheet for the first time in five Bundesliga outings, however, it is worth noting that Die Kreichgauer have only conceded more than one goal in a match on just one occasion in their last eight.
A victory again this weekend would all but secure Bundesliga safety after a hugely under-par campaign, with Hoffenheim currently carrying an eight-point gap to Heidenheim, who occupy the relegation playoff spot.

Defender Leo Ostigard is suspended, while fellow defenders Christopher Lenz and Ozan Kabak are injured.
Diadie Samasssekou, Grischa Prömel and Ihlas Bebou are also all absent.
