The Saudi Pro League has confirmed that its transfer window will close on Thursday September 7.
FIFA had previously stated that the newly-flush Middle Eastern league would cease to be able to buy players this summer on September 20.
But the league has brought things forward by two weeks after releasing a short statement on Monday morning.
“As communicated to clubs Saudi Arabia on Friday June 30th, the summer registration for player transfers for the Roshn Saudi League (Saudi Pro League) closes on Thursday September 7th.”
The Saudi top flight has made a splash this summer having spent hundreds of millions on new players from across the globe.
The likes of Neymar, Sadio Mané and Riyad Mahrez have all signed for clubs in the Petrostate.
Likes in Europe had been incensed with the added time they were able to bid for players with Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp calling on FIFA to act last week after Al Ittihad had bid for Mohamed Salah.
