Inter could look to sign Giacomo Raspadori to replace Lautaro Martinez in the summer if they are unable to hold onto the Argentine striker.

This according to today’s print edition of Rome-based newspaper Corriere dello Sport, who have claimed the Argentine’s future at the club has come into some doubt at the Giuseppe Meazza after comments by his agent.

Should the 23-year-old depart, Inter CEO Beppe Marotta and sporting director Piero Ausilio are formulating a plan to replace him for next season.

One of the key names considered by the pair is that of Sassuolo striker Giacomo Raspadori.

Raspadori’s name has superseded that of Atalanta’s Luis Muriel in Inter’s plan to replace Martinez.

The 21-year-old impressed last season at Sassuolo, earning a call-up to the Italian national team by manager Roberto Mancini, and his value could increase should he have a good Euro 2020.

However, Inter have a good relationship with Sassuolo and with Raspadori’s agent Tullio Tinti, so it is thought that obstacles towards a deal could be overcome if Inter move for the player.

In the event that Raspadori is signed it is thought that attacker Alexis Sanchez would be relied on in the case that Raspadori does not fit in at his new club, as the Chilean is admired by new coach Simone Inzaghi.
