Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali On Inter Targets Scamacca & Frattesi: “We Want To Keep Them A Little Longer”

Sassuolo CEO Giovanni Carnevali has said that he would like to keep Inter targets Gianluca Scamacca and Davide Frattesi at the club a little longer, according to a report in the Italian media today.

Speaking at the end of the Lega Assembly meeting today that the heads of many clubs were at, via FCInter1908, Giovanni Carnevali briefly discussed the two young Italians that have been consitently linked with a move to Inter.

He did not go as far as to rule out a move for either of them in January but did say that he intends to keep them at the club for a little longer. This suggests that there will be more activity in the summer.

“There are still a few days left, let’s see for a moment because we certainly have some requests. Our intention is to keep them again and then we will talk about it again later. Requests for Scamacca also in January? Not only for him but fortunately for others as well.”

When asked whether the requests for his players have come from teams within Italy he said that they have but not many as there is not a lot of money available to teams right now.

“Yes, but not many because now unfortunately in Italy there are not many opportunities to make investments, apart from some clubs. Fortunately, there is the foreign market.”
