Sassuolo manager Alessio Dionisi expressed his frustration with his side’s defeat to Roma earlier this evening.

The Neroverdi boss complained about the way Roma completed their comeback, accusing them of lacking in fair-play.

“The game changed when there were ten of us left,” Dionisi told DAZN, referring to his team’s red card in the second half. “Then they scored on a penalty, which was questionable, and then they won with an own goal.”

“We were unlucky in the incidents, the red card was right. But it’s still shame. The feeling is that we would never have conceded the goal. We would have never lost had we concluded the game with 11 men on the pitch.”

“Mourinho? Fortunately I believe in fair-play unlike others, and I don’t talk about other teams and their players. I maintain that no one should allow themselves to talk about other team’s players. Then I would like to remind you that we are nineteenth for fouls committed in Serie A, so if there is a team that has fair play it is us, unlike our opponents tonight who are one of the most aggressive sides in the league.”
