Maurizio Sarri is reportedly interested in a reunion with Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kante at Juventus.

Sarri left Stamford Bridge this summer after just one year as Chelsea boss, returning to Serie A to take over the Italian champions, and is believed to be interested in signing Kante to bolster his midfield options.

According to the Daily Mail, Sarri believes Kante would be the perfect player to slot into his midfield alongside Miralem Pjanic and summer signing Aaron Ramsey, as the Turin side look to end a 23-year wait for European success after years of domestic dominance.

The 60-year-old has reportedly informed the club’s vice-chairman, Pavel Nedved, of his desire to sign the World Cup winner and for some reason, Juventus reckon they could secure a deal for the 28-year-old for a fee in the region of £70m.

Chelsea are unlikely to want to lose the dynamic midfielder, and their position is strengthened by the fact that the Frenchman only signed a new long-term contract at the club in November of last year.

It was originally thought that Sarri was keen on re-signing Jorginho in the summer, having taken the Italy international with him from Napoli to Stamford Bridge in 2018. No move would materialise though, although, following a turbulent debut season in the Premier League, the 27-year-old is finally earning the approval of Chelsea fans after some impressive displays under Frank Lampard.
