While the Apertura has yet to officially conclude, transfer silly season has started in earnest for Liga MX.
It had seemed that a sensational swap deal between América and Chivas involving Sebastián Córdova and Uriel Antuna had hit the rocks.
The latter was seemingly not happy with the terms offered by the Azulcrema, and also reportedly had misgivings about the project under Santiago Solari.
But Azteca Deportes claims that Santos Laguna have entered the fray, and could offer a solution to the impasse.
Under a three-way agreement, Córdova would join the Flock, Antuna would go to Santos, while Juan Otero would link up with Las Águilas.
For their part in facilitating the unorthodox arrangment, Los Guerreros would also receive $1m.
Colombian Otero, a predominantly right winger who can also play across the front three, scored once in 16 appearances for Santos during the regular season.
