América extended their unbeaten run to 12 games in all competitions with a 2-1 victory over Olimpia in Concacaf Champions League play on Wednesday.

“It is normal. Happy with the result, it is a victory on a frankly difficult field. When we settle down, we score the goals that make me very happy… with the goals of Fede (Viñas) and (Sergio) Díaz.

“We are happy and satisfied with the victory.

“We will try to compete and we will work with humility to compete in the next game. I think we did a good job in the first half getting the advantage.

“We had seen them play and we knew it was going to be very hard, I have to congratulate the players with what we have done in the first half and part of the second to give us the victory.”

The two sides will face off in the second leg next Wednesday but not before América take on Tigres in Liga MX play.
