Santiago Solari is slowly silencing his critics because, in just his first season, he has already broken some of Miguel Herrera’s records.

However, the Argentine manager confessed to the media that the number of consecutive victories has not crossed his mind.

“We are not thinking about the numbers, we are thinking about reaching objectives and, for that, we must take into account our long, medium and short-term objectives, and the short-term is tomorrow.

“We must be happy because we won a tough game, but we have to focus on the next game that will not be easy.

“We have our series against Olimpia and we have to be just as vigilant as we were against Tigres.”

Solari and América have won eight games in a row in all competitions, though that number would be 11 if they were not forced to forfeit the Atlas clash.
