Club América manager Santiago Solari admitted the club are still on the hunt for a new right-winger to boost the squad’s attack.

“With regard to some reinforcement, it seems to me that we could be stronger with a player on the right,” said Solari during a press conference.

“We have Leo Suárez who is a great footballer, he gives us many things, but he does not give us what we need to complete.

“Having Leo on the right and another player, who supplies the characteristics that complement each other.”

The 44-year-old continued to confirm the club is willing to head back to the transfer window but didn’t shed any light as to who specifically would fill the gap.

“We discussed this with the president and the possibility is open, but there is still a long time to market, I do not want to give names or anything until nothing is closed,” he said.

One of the main names from the rumour mill is Renato Ibarra who is reportedly set for a shock return to the club.

With the Apertura 2021 kicking off on 22 July, América find themselves in a race against time to get their squad finalised and at its best.
