América’s sporting president Santiago Baños has said the club are unlikely to sign any more players during this transfer window.

The Azulcrema have been successful in the market this summer, adding Jonathan Rodríguez, Néstor Araujo and Jürgen Damm to their ranks.

And, speaking to ESPN, Baños insisted that Las Águilas would only look for another player in the event of an unexpected late departure.

“With the arrival of Jonathan, Nestor and Damm we are complete,” the former Atlante and Monterrey defender said.

“If no one else comes out, there will be no more reinforcements,” Baños added.

None of the three new arrivals are expected to start in Saturday’s Apertura opener against Atlas.

Both Araujo and Damm are working their way towards full fitness, while there has been a delay in registering Rodríguez after his move from Saudi side Al Nassr.
