Club América have been dealing with a major issue in regards to their foreign player count and the situation apparently is not getting any better.
The Eagles have too many foreign players on their squad and have already discarded Nicolás Castillo as a viable option this season.
Now, in an interview on Tuesday, Santiago Baños has revealed that following negotiations with Boca Juniors that they have not received any offers for their foreign players.
“The negotiation with Boca Juniors for Colombian forward Roger Martínez did not materialize and at the moment we have not received offers for any foreign footballer,” Baños told TUDN.
“We did not close the door to any new signings. Everything is planned with the coaching staff hand in hand. No reinforcements arrived without being authorised and talking to the coaching staff.”
América will be back in pre-season action on July 4th at the Rio Tinto Stadium in Salt Lake City when they take on Santos Laguna.
